Since I left the toxic but dangerous wrestling community behind 2 months ago, the sport of pro wrestling in the WWE and AEW been in a dumpster fire as of late. The reason I said that, is because a number of things in those two once popular products their either made no sense, turn my back and laugh at, or possibly both.
1. Nick Khan defends his expensive ticket prices after a fan called him out saying that the ticket prices are expensive. I have to agree with him, because the WWE, in all of its forms love to ask for money to enrich themselves and remain loyal to their dying brand.
2. MJF tells fans what they can and cannot say on social media. I don't know what he's talking about, but this is why the IWC is all about tribalism, gatekeeping and cyberbullying. If I were MJF, I'd keep his words to himself.
3. Mercedes Mone parading and showing off those 9 belts around, including the TBS Championship, has became a major turn-off for everyone since she gets paid under the table by "stat boy" Tony Khan since she signed to AEW a year ago monpolizing the women's division. Karma will bite her in the ass one day for being greedy with these championship belts.
4. Matt Riddle cost himself a spot in an indy wrestling match for the comments he made about sexual assault on women. There's absolutely no room or place for that crap and I applaud the promoter(s) for removing him from their match lineup.
5. The IWC community on social media continue to cyberbully, harass, mock and hurt those who are trying to enjoy the product for the first time. Like I said, since leaving the toxic world of social media behind after 19 years on 5 platforms, social media can kill your mental health. If you're a member of the said platform, delete your social media account(s). Or if trying to sign up and join that said platform, turn away and don't sign up to join.
Now that I got that off my chest, I'm happy that the fall season came early a few weeks ago. No more 90-degree weather or these stupid heatwaves I had run-ins with. I'm ready for warm apple cider, fallen leaves and low temps.
Have a good one!
