Congress Approves Free-Trade Treaty - December 1994
Congress in December completed its approval of the tariff-cutting provisions of the so-called Uruguay Round of the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade (GATT). The House approved GATT, November 29, 288-146, and the Senate gave its approval December 1, 76-24.
